New York, NY (PRWEB) February 10, 2010 -- Actress, singer and television hostess, Carnie Wilson, has just been announced as the official spokesperson for the daily, gourmet diet delivery service, The Fresh Diet.Carnie Wilson

The reality show star and host of The Newlywed Game turned to The Fresh Diet after Dr. Oz gave her a "wake-up call," on national TV by indicating that unless she got her weight under control, she could find herself looking at serious health issues like those that motivated her to have Gastric Bypass Surgery in 1999. These concerns focused on elevated blood pressure and cholesterol levels as well as diabetes.

"The Fresh Diet food is so delicious it's like someone made these meals for me in my own kitchen," says Carnie Wilson. "I feel confident The Fresh Diet can help me reach my weight loss goals."

Carnie, the daughter of legendary Beach Boy, Brian Wilson, has long struggled with her weight and has tried many diets in the past. Yet she has never before endorsed a diet to this extent, as she is doing with The Fresh Diet, says Zalmi Duchman, CEO of The Fresh Diet.

Carnie and her husband, Rob Bonfiglio, started The Fresh Diet at the beginning of February in order to lose weight and feel good. Since then, she's lost six pounds.
"Rob's doing it for lifestyle reasons," commented Duchman. "Carnie is doing this to lose the weight she put on due to her second pregnancy."

By providing clients with fresh, daily hand delivered, unusual gourmet meals, which unlike other diets are not frozen, freeze-dried or vacuum packed, The Fresh Diet has developed a loyal clientele. Their unique menus are mouth-watering as well as healthy; including such delectable breakfast meals such as Hawaiian macadamia nut whole wheat waffles for breakfast.

Carnie finds the food so delicious, on a recent photo shoot for PEOPLE magazine, rather than indulge in treats from the Crafts table, she stuck with her delivery from The Fresh Diet.

Carnie will be featured on this week's cover of PEOPLE, which hits newsstands nationwide on February 10, 2010.
